WELCOME TO SOUTHSIDE
NEW HERE?
Walking into a new church can be intimidating and at times terrifying depending on your previous church experience. If you are considering attending one of our worship gatherings, we pray that you would take the vulnerable step and come check it out! We can’t fully describe what you will experience, but at least we can try to give you an idea of what to expect.
We have parking lot greeters to help you find a great place to park! Our greeters will be happy to direct you to the main entrance where you can find the Welcome Desk. At the Welcome Desk, we will be happy to direct you to wherever you need to go and give you a free gift on your first visit.
On Sundays, our morning service begins at 10:15 a.m., and our evening service begins at 6 p.m. Our worship services usually last around an hour and 15 minutes. They include worship through music, the preaching of God’s Word, and prayer. We also periodically celebrate through communion and believer’s baptism.
Any greeter or Welcome Desk team member will be happy to direct you to the children's check-in desk. We have a secure system for birth through 2 years in our nursery during our church service. We also provide Children's Church for 3 years through 4th Grade that will dismiss from the sanctuary during morning service.
Dress the way you feel most comfortable! Some people wear jeans while other opt for business casual. On a Sunday morning you might see some people in a suit and tie, others in a t-shirt and jeans, and a lot of in between. We believe that God doesn’t expect us to clean ourselves up before we come to Him and His church; so we say, come as you are.
Our services usually last about one and a half hours. We periodically celebrate the Lord's supper and believer's baptism.
Yes! Just call the church office the week before the service, and we will arrange for someone to pick you up.
QUESTIONS?
Text..
Our prayer for every gathering is that you would feel welcomed and loved and that you wouldn’t leave the building thinking about how friendly our congregation was, how funny the preacher was, or how great the special music was. We want you to leave our service amazed at God’s radical love expressed through the finished work of Jesus Christ. If you don’t remember anything when you leave our building except how amazing Jesus is, we view that as a huge success.
