TYLER MURPHY

Senior Pastor

TYLER AND HIS WIFE, LAURA, HAVE SERVED SOUTHSIDE SINCE 2016.

Tyler received his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of Central Missouri. Before coming to Southside, he worked as a youth minister at Centerview First Baptist Church.  Tyler married Laura in a small chapel in 2015. They have four children: Harper, Amelia, Titus and Adeline.

 

Tyler loves spending time with his family and going on adventures with them. They also enjoy running, hiking, hunting, fishing and sightseeing. Tyler plays the drums and loves all kinds of music.

KENT MABERRY

Minister of Music

KENT AND HIS WIFE, LORI,  HAVE SERVED SOUTHSIDE SINCE 2006.

Kent received his degree in church music from College of the Ozarks.  Before coming to Southside he served at Ashland Baptist Church for 15 years.  He and his wife Lori have two children, Seth and Oren, and one grandchild.  

 

Kent and his family enjoy music, reading, hiking, and enjoying God's creation.

 

ETHAN CARNAHAN

Youth & Young Adult Pastor

ETHAN AND HIS WIFE, KIRA, HAVE BEEN  SERVING SOUTHSIDE SINCE 2021. 

Ethan has received his associate's degree in Behavioral Psychology from Moberly Area Community College and his Bachelor's Degree in Christian Ministry and Leadership at Missouri Baptist University in 2024.  Ethan and Kira were married in September of 2023, and they have one daughter: Winnie. 

 

In his free time, Ethan enjoys playing basketball, pickleball, weightlifting, hunting, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends.
